Our policy:

We do not blow the competition away with the highest level of attenuation ! But we try hard to do it with the lowest tension level possible. It is quite another thing testing an ear defender 20 seconds while discussing prices and delivery terms or wearing it the most time of the day. What really matters is the comfort. Little use has a hearing protection device thrown away with respectable headache 20 minutes after putting it on. It needs guys with heads made from steel to stand a hearing protection with a clamp pressure more than 10 N. But does a robot really ask for personal safety equipment.

To cut it short: Do not only refer to attenuation sheets, check on clamp pressure as well. The lower the tension the more comfortable you feel. The more comfortable you feel the longer you will be able to protect your ears against noise levels, which will not be tolerated by the 'inner parts of the ear'.

New products:

ELASTEX 3500 is a heavy-duty ear cushion.
Meeting the fact that protection devices sometimes are exposed to rough environments our cup style hearing protectors can be equipped (optional) with ELASTEX 3500 ear cushions.These cushions take it easy: they can stand sweat even in the long run (no shrinking), agressive cleaning liquids and tool attacks far better than any PVC foil product (All ear muffs we know use PVC foil as cover material for the foam inlet). Furthermore the surface seems to be rougher but slows down the sweat production in the heat measurably.

DUALELASTAN wire headband:
Between the two headbandwires a rocksolid plasticbridge fits the wires, which will be fixed in their position by molding TPE material around the wire. The result is a dramatic increase in usability and lifetime of the headband. Main benefits:

Stiffness of the headband supports and protects the wires far better than the old foam welded into the foil headband.

The old system did not allow the change of the headband cushion. Now it is possible to replace a cushion whenever the wearer feels to do so.

The usual shrinking of PVC foiled headband causing tears cannot occur anymore.

The tension of the wires is far better protected by the inner headband as any foil system could.

Cleaning can be done easily even with efficient cleaning fluids when the cushion has been replaced.
